It's a tradition in Hindu community first to offer prayers to Lord Ganesh (Vignahartaa) before beginning any new venture!
Prayer:
Vakratunda Mahakaaya Suryakoti Samaprabha,
Nirvignam Kurumedeva Sarvakaaryeshu Sarvada!!
Second offer prayers to Maa Saraswati (Vidyadaayini)!!
Saraswati Namastubhyam Varade Kaamrupini,
Vidyarambham Karishyami Siddhirbhavatumesada!!
